Of the Air, Of the Earth

This short documentary film surveyed the inner workings of an urban tramway and explained the feats achieved during the design and construction of the various components. The concept of the tram itself is carried forward throughout the film with breathtaking footage captured from off-limits vantage points that few have had the chance to see. This piece demonstrates clearly how fuction, form, style, history and politics came together to produce a world-class architectural icon that marks Portland as a unique place.
